Ellie recently graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Social Science.

 As part of her university studies, Ellie completed a social research project examining the experiences of families engaging with Supervised Contact Centres within Western Sydney. Based on her research, Ellie made recommendations on how service delivery could be improved to better meet the needs of the families accessing the services, and those recommendations have been implemented by the contact centres. This experience developed her understanding of the complex personal and social circumstances that can underpin family law disputes and reinforced the importance of approaching legal practice with empathy and sensitivity.

 In 2019, Ellie was awarded the Blue Mountains Law Society Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Studies, recognising her early interest in and commitment to the law.

 Ellie brings an empathic and human-centred approach to her work, recognising that behind every family law matter is a person, family and community navigating the most challenging and deeply personal situations of their lives.
